DPF SOOT CLEANING

At HHO Carbon Clean Systems, we understand that keeping your diesel truck on the road is imperative. One important aspect of maintaining a healthy diesel engine is a clean diesel particulate filter (DPF).

What Is a DPF

A diesel particulate filter, or DPF, is an emissions control device that traps soot (fine particles mainly composed of carbon, hydrocarbons, and other organic substances) and ash (inorganic residue that originates from metallic additives in engine oil and fuel) from your diesel engine's exhaust. This government-mandated device helps keep harmful pollutants out of the air we breathe. However, over time, this build up can clog the filter, reducing engine performance, fuel efficiency, and turn on the dreaded check engine light. On average, soot needs to be cleaned every 60,000 - 100,000 miles whereas ash doesn’t need to be removed until 500,000 - 600,00 miles.

Signs You Might Need DPF Soot Cleaning

  • Decreased engine power and acceleration

  • Increased fuel consumption

  • Illuminated DPF warning light on your dashboard

  • Frequent regeneration cycles

Here's Where HHO Carbon Clean Systems Comes In

At HHO Carbon Clean Systems of Atlanta, we specialize in DPF soot cleaning for trucks and large fleets throughout the Atlanta area. Our technicians are ASE Master Certified with extensive experience in diesel engines. But what sets us apart is our revolutionary mobile service. We're proud to be the only company in the Southeast that can clean DPF soot without physically removing the filter from the truck!

Our unique process utilizes proprietary onboard equipment to create hydrogen gas. This gas is introduced into the intake system, flows into the combustion chamber of the engine, then to the turbo, and finally into the exhaust after-treatment system. Once here the gas removes all the carbon build up in the DOC & SCR, but in the DPF is where it really goes to work. It breaks up all the soot into fine particles which can then thoroughly be burnt off during a computer-actuated forced regeneration. It's a safe and effective way to restore performance, keep your emissions system clean and working, and of course keep those pesky check engine lights turned off!

It’s Fast

We can complete your DPF cleaning in under 2 hours, minimizing downtime for your truck. The old way of removing the DPF and sending it out for cleaning can take up to 3 days.

It’s Convenient

We come to you! No need to waste time driving your truck to a traditional repair shop and waiting.

It’s Safer

Removing and reinstalling a DPF can be risky; potentially damaging the filter in the process. Our mobile service eliminates that risk.
